I’m using g this on my front porch, and even though it is not in the elements I did put a coat of Minwax Polyshades on it. Assembly instructions were pictures only, but were reasonably easy to follow. I did buy a cushion for the seat, and would recommend that you do so.

We wanted a small garden bench to put in the front of our home. After considerable shopping we selected this one. It arrived very quickly and we were pleasantly surprised to find it was made in Viet Nam and not China. The pieces fit perfectly, are well made, and it is very easy to assemble. The instructions are a bit light. You may want to try all of the pieces together before assembly to be sure how they go. The bench is very attractive and comfortable. Having the ability to fold this up is an added bonus making winter storage easy. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I received my bench last week and examined all the parts and found no cracked pieces, everything looked good and had fairly smooth surfaces. But the wood did not have any finish on it. I even scratched the surface of a piece and could not detect any finish on the wood. So I went to Home Depot and purchased a quart of Verithane Oil base gloss exterior polyurethane and gave all the pieces a good coat. When it dries I’ll put it together and tie it to the railing of my front porch. ( By the way oil base poly is very hard to find as most manufacturers are going to the water base stuff. – I was lucky and secured the last quart of the stuff at Home Depot. ) The water base is not the best for outdoor furniture.I put it together today and have to say all the screw holes lined up. I have a set of different drivers for my cordless drill and there was one of the hex bits in there that fit the bigger screws so driving the screws in was easy. The only other thing I did was get some white nylon rope and tied the bench to my railings on the front porch.If I ever have a need for another bench I would certainly buy another one of these.

We love the way this bench looks in our back patio. Very handsome, sturdy, comfortable (though I think a bottom cushion would make it even better). The only thing is putting it together actually does require a drill with screwdriver bit because the holes are not quite deep enough to just use a hand-held screwdriver. It is easy enough to assemble, just takes a little more elbow grease and power than I had hoped.

The wood is heavy weight, sturdy and very well milled. Metal parts are sturdy and perfectly fitted. It took about 18 minutes to put together from unboxing to completion, folds up perfectly and looks great. What a great value!

Very pretty and seems to be very sturdy. It was fairly easy to assemble, it would have been easier if the directions had words instead of just pictures.

Nice little bench. I added a couple extra screws cus I’m fat but it’s sturdy enough for normal people. Like the folding feature for winter storage. Wood looks like poplar but is heavier. Would buy again.
